| Today was my last day of my working week at the Kells Transport Museum and as i was catching a flight home at 13:30, a long lie in bed was had to start with. Once up, a trip out to Midleton was had prior to heading off to the airport.
While in Midleton, i stumbled across the shell of former Ribble 625 (CCK625C), a Weymann bodied Leyland Leopard PSU3/1R now registered as 683-JPI. This was located out of sight at a private residence in the lower garden and had been used as a stores shed for many years. It's original identity was confirmed via it's fleetnumber still being visible inside and also by the chassis number of which the plate was still present. It is missing it's seats, engine, wheels & rear springs. However, from what i could gather, it's fate might be very near as the owners are looking to dispose of it. |
